Pine Creek Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory
Palmer Terrors Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 26-0 loss to Pine Creek on Wednesday. Pine Creek scored on a grand slam by Zac Heisler and a double by Evan Faucher in the first inning.
The Palmer Terrors Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Pine Creek, giving up 26 runs.
Pine Creek opened up scoring in the first inning. Heisler homered on a 0-1 count, scoring four runs.
A single by Justin Briggs in the second inning was a positive for Palmer Terrors Varsity.
Justin Olson was on the mound for Pine Creek. He went five innings, allowing zero runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Cale Fields got the start for Palmer Terrors Varsity. He went two innings, allowing six runs on four hits. Kevin Hernandez, Sam Zeitzman, and Matthew New each contributed in relief for Palmer Terrors Varsity.
Pine Creek smacked three home runs on the day. Heisler went for the long ball in the first and third innings. Olson had a dinger in the fourth inning.
